Let’s see, you already have a Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe for long relaxing drives on the coast, a Ferrari 458 Speciale for track fun and a Harley Davidson Street Glide for when you want to be wild. But what do you get if you want to joy ride on water too? That yacht certainly won’t cut it, maybe something smaller...
Something like a jet ski, but those are now too mainstream and every mortal can get one. Plus they look pretty plain with all that plastic around and sound awful.

Well, all you need then is a V8 Wet Rod (no puns intended). But don’t just rush to write a check yet, because it’s only in its project phase. It’s designed by California based Strand Craft studios and until later this year, when it will be ready for production, you’ll basically just have to admire the view on the screen.

As you can see from the photos, the V8 Wet Rod is not your ordinary jet ski, but a luxury miniature motorboat for one, maybe two people. It’s 16 feet long, the shell is made out of carbon fiber and epoxy materials while power comes from a 5.7-liter V8 gasoline engine churning 300 bhp to the rear... well, water jet system.

The design house estimates their luxo-jet will reach a speed of 65 mph (105 km/h) which should be enough for riding the waves like a sir in the sunset. Standard features include a waterproof luggage compartment and an ice box under the seat for a bottle of wine or champagne.

And as with every other vehicle now, the V8 Wet Rod comes with a handful of optional features, such as an engine chrome dress up kit, wood inlays, carbon fiber inlays, special custom paint or wrapping job, a sound system, GPS and even a custom trailer to drive it to the pier in style.
