Foot players, regardless if we’re talking about American or European football, and fast cars really don’t seem to get along very fine and we are unfortunately dealing with a new example that comes to confirm this, as Eric Wright (cornerback for Tampa Bay Buccaneers) was recently arrested for driving under the influence, after crashing his Mercedes SLS AMG into another car, whose driver was injured in the accident.
It all happened close to Staples Center, downtown LA, on Monday at about 12:20 AM local time, when the player hit a Chevrolet Silverado with his Mercedes SLS AMG, injuring the driver of the truck. He told the police that he had been drinking earlier and refused to be tested for alcohol. He was taken into custody and placed inside the LAPD’s Metropolitan Detention Center, with the bail set at $100,000.

This is not Wright’s first issue with the law, as he was suspected of rape, with 136 Ecstasy pills being found in his apartment during the investigation which took place back in 2005, bit was not charged due to a cited lack of evidence.
