Mazda is making efforts to make sure that the public is already hunting the next generation of the Mazda6 before the vehicle even goes out on the market, with the company recently releasing a new video teaser for the mid-size sedan.
The 2014 Mazda6 will borrow a lot of styling cues from the Takeri concept, which means that it will come with a sculpted body. The A-pillar will have an unconventional angle, while the exterior mirrors will be placed a bit towards the rear of the door compared to what we’ve seen before, with these moves expected to give the driver a better field of view, as well as create a special visual impression.
The chief designer for the Mazda6, Akira Tamatani, has his own way of explaining the styling cues of the car, telling us that it will bring “"Well-toned, lean muscles that firmly hug the road."
