Refreshed for the 2014 model year, the current Chevrolet Camaro received a slimmer upper grille, restyled headlamps and brand new taillights, the latter attracting a lot of criticism at first.
Some say the mid-generation refresh shows where the next Camaro will go as far as design is concerned, but there are no actual hints to how the 2016 pony car might look like. That changes a bit today, when a bunch of sketches and 1:3 scale model of a Camaro concept car made by Michael McGee as a project during his summer internship at GM last year, surfaced the Internet.
There’s no actual proof that the next-gen Camaro will look like this, and we bet this isn’t more than just a conceptual idea, but it may very well contain styling cues that will make in on the production car.
If these sketches are indeed related to the new pony car, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro will ditch its classic cues for a revolutionary design. That may upset a few passionate owners and potential customers, but it could open a new era for GM and its performance vehicles. Should Detroit built a Camaro based on this study?
