In 2012, General Motors concentrated on small to mid-size models, ranging from the Spark, to the Buick Encore crossover and going all the way with a new Impala sedan. However, in 2013, the focus will be on full-seze pickups and SUVs, and as a result new versions of the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade which will be launched as 2014 models, by the end of 2013 or in early 2014.
All these monsters will share running gear with the new Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra pickups that were revealed at last month ahead of their debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, which we’ll be attending.
GM has promised interiors will differ on SUVs, hopefully for the better, but that doesn’t mean the bodies won’t look about the same. Here’s a rendering of what the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV will look like based on the front end of the new Silverado pickup. The rendering is rough, but we get the idea of what’s going on.
Hopefully, what the Tahoe lacks in new design it will make up for with better equipment.
