Next BMW 7-Series Gets Speculatively Rendered

BMW 7-Series Rendering 1 photo

The current generation BMW 7-Series (F01/F02), as well as the previous one (E65/E66), are not the best-looking cars in their class, by a very wide margin. Odd proportions and questionable styling decisions have made BMW’s last two flagships quite unpleasant to the eye (the old car more so than the new one).
However, with BMW heading in a new styling direction, with cars like the simply-designed new 5- and 3-Series, this newfound simplicity will influence the ‘big 7’, as well. This rendering by Automedia shows us what the new 7 may end up looking like, with a face clearly influenced by that of the 3-Series, and a pronounced arched crease along its side, it doesn`t look half bad, we say. It is also rumored to be losing its V12 engine along with the new generation.

The rest of the design is typical BMW, with strong sculpted lines and clearly defined shapes, it akmost look as if BMW themselves made this. We say there is a high likelihood that the actual 7-Series will bear a strong resemblance to this rendering, if BMW doesn`t decide in the mean time that awkward proportions and odd styling is still the way to go.
