Nexen Tire Becomes Manchester City FC Sponsor

They may not be as popular among automakers in Europe as they are in the US, but Nexen Tire is looking to fix this little issue. The leading global tire and tube manufacturer has become an Official Partner of one of the English Premier League’s strongest teams, as a part of the company’s sports marketing plan.

We were clearly joking earlier, most of the automakers out there have had some collaborations with the giant tire manufacturer, including Volkswagen, Fiat, Renault-Daimler and others. However, in the past years, they have been strengthening its global presence with a focus on the European market.

And we all know how much the inhabitants of the old continent love their soccer, don’t we now? Let us not forget it is the most popular sport in almost all European Countries. European club teams are the highest paid in the world, and the UEFA Champions League is one of the sport’s most prestigious tournaments.

On August 6th, Nexen Tire held a signing ceremony for their partnership agreement with Manchester City FC at the City Football Academy in Manchester, England and announced its Official Tire Partnership with Manchester City. Both the president of the company, Ho-Chan Kang, and the Club’s CEO, Omar Berrada, were there to celebrate this collaboration.

If you are one of the soccer fans, then you should know football enthusiasts from Europe and around the world will see the company’s logo on digital boards whenever the team will play at the Etihad Stadium. Moreover, the company plans to execute various marketing activities by utilizing players’ portrait rights and sponsorship management.
