We knew certain New Zealand police officers qualify as true badasses - it's enough to check out the muscular rear-wheel-drive machines they manhandle. But there's one Kiwi cop who decided to go one step further and get behind the wheel of the country's first Rauh-Welt Begriff Porsche.
As we told you last week, Akira Nakai, the man behind the RWB project, had recently landed in New Zealand. With a dual build on his hands, things were looking promising.
Well, we are now looking at the results of Nakai-san's work, with the 001 car having already been put to the test mentioned above.
Upon dipping into the rear-engined potential of the 964-generation Neunelfer, the policeman took part in a small Q&A session in front of the camera and you can see this below.
There's another video at the bottom of the page, with this piece of footage serving a truly difficult purpose, namely explaining RWB to those who haven't been introduced to the concept of a global customization family.
The people who take part in the adventure started by the Japanese artist become friends for life, with the world wide web now allowing them to form strong communities.
This is like friends who witnessed each other's build and then took their rides to Cars and Coffee, but the event was held all over the world, with new communities showing up every year.
As for the 911s themselves, the owners were asked to offer a few details on the tech side of the job. For the record, RWB 001, which the cop drove, is the purple car, while the 002 tag is reserved for the gray vehicle.
Here's what the owners said: "001 has had a full motor rebuild, run in tune at the moment. 002 has had a motor freshen up, but manly just bolt on bits, motor will be sorted at a later date."
