New Yoshimura Race Shop Division Opened

One of the biggest aftermarket sportbike producer has recently decided to build customized performance engine, chassis and electrical parts, originally developed for Team Yoshimura’s racing motorcycles available for the general public, through its new YRS division (Yoshimura Race Shop).

These new parts are anodized and machined with the Yoshimura Magnasonian finish, which means they have a special bronze coloring and a variegated surface machining, developed this year on the GSX-R1000 bikes raced by Matt Mladin, Tommy Hayden and Blake Young. Now, these parts are available also for other motorcycle models, including the CBR1000RR, GSX-R600, Yamaha R1 and DR-Z400SM.

The new collection features the newly re-designed YRS Case Savers, the GSX-R1000 Swing Arm Pivot Kits, the GSX-R 1000 Rear Linkage Kit and the YRS Rear Fender Eliminator Kit. According to the manufacturer, the new case savers are designed and reinforced to prevent costly damage brought by a low-side crash.

The swing arm pivot kits are CNC machined from aircraft grade alloy, and allow for a greater swing arm angle and provide more traction. For bikers who wish to change their rear suspension leverage ratio, the rear linkage kit provides a more linear suspension geometry rising rate, which improves traction characteristics.

The rear fender elimination kit is a laser cut license plate bracket that reduces weight and increseas the overall ‘race-look’, Yoshimura says. But this is not all that the new YRS division has to offer. Complete race engine services are also available for select Suzuki models.

“If you want to shave seconds off of your lap times, there is simply no other way to go. By using these strengthened, aggressive and factory level 'trick' parts, not only will you have the time-tested power of Yoshimura in the heart of your sport bike but you will also tap into a tradition of winning that is unparalleled in modern Superbike racing,”
ends the press statement released by Yoshimura.
