New Volvo FMX Truck to Make UK Debut in June

After it was recently introduced at at the Bauma Fair, the new Volvo FMX construction truck will be on display at the Hillhead Show at Buxton between June 22-24. By introducing the FMX on the British market, the company aims to further grow its construction business.

In addition to the new FMX, other Volvo Truck products on display including an FM 8x4 tipper belonging to W H Malcolm and a flagship FH16-700 tractor unit.

The Volvo FMX boasts a new upper grill, aggressive lower front, 3-part steel bumper with 3 mm thick steel corners, rugged skid plate and protective bull bar. The truck also features a powerful tow hook, headlamp mesh protection, new anti-slip steps and a convenient ladder. to name just a few.

“No other manufacturer has this kind of experience where we can look after the needs of both machinery and truck operators in the construction, demolition and waste handling and recycling sectors,” Volvo Trucks Managing Director Göran Nyberg said in a release.

“This fact puts Volvo Trucks in a strong position as the company aims to expand its well-established business within the construction segment,” he continued. “Together with Volvo Construction Equipment we have the most comprehensive product offering. We can provide a total solution for on- and off-road construction work and have vast experience meeting our customers’ needs.”

“We already have a very strong position in the construction segment in the UK and Ireland with our present Volvo FM. With the new purpose-built Volvo FMX, and our optimised support for construction operations, we aim to grow our market share in this business significantly,”
