Though the SEAT Leon Cupra was going to get the pie right from under the Scirocco's nose? Think again, because the Vdub coupe just received a facelift and considering it's a 6-year old model it looks absolutely fantastic.
Eschewing the trend for LED-everything, the new Scirocco models offer only xenon tech up front, but the taillights have a very crisp new design, which pops out at you while watching the coupe's first video.

Right as show goers are beginning to get their first impressions for Geneva, where two Sciroccos are on show, we bring you a glimpse of what's coming to a tight corner near you… as long as you're not in America.

Half the video is dedicated to the hardcore Scirocco R, and considering what's at stake here that's not surprising at all. The R represents Volkswagen's FWD pride and is also a major part of both motorsport and street car culture. Taking this sports coupe to the next level is a brand new engine, the same 280 hp 2.0 TSI used by the top Leon Cupra model.

The 2014 Scirocco R also looks pretty sweet thanks to redesigned front bumpers, an updated interior and an optional set of 19inch Cadiz wheels identical to the 2014 Golf R.
