Revived by new UK-based company owned by Les Edgar, TVR could be back on the sportscar market with new models in two years’ time.
Speaking to Autocar, TVR boss Les Edgar said the company will develop brand-new vehicles that are likely to be ready by 2015. The British are also pondering a new edition of the Sagaris, but no further details have been revealed yet.
“We could do both, and we haven’t made a final decision yet. If we wanted, we could probably have a new edition of the old Sagaris on the market in about a year. But I think it’s more likely we’ll choose to build all-new TVRs, and that’ll probably take us twice as long,” Edgar said, adding that the new TVRs will be more affordable that the usual sportscar.
According to our source, the 2015 TVR will go on sale with prices between £50,000 and £80,000.
