The redesigned popular Toyota RAV4 has been recently launched on the Chinese market, with a base price of 183,800 yuan.
The 2014 Toyota RAV4 is made locally by the FAW-Toyota joint venture and it’s offered with two engine setups - a 2-liter 147hp coupled to a six-speed manual transmission or CVT, and a 2.5-liter producing 180hp bolted to a six-speed automatic. The base version includes LED daytime running lights, heated mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning, 4-speaker audio system and electric windows.
Visually, the new RAV4 got a redesigned front and rear fascia, featuring more angular shapes and you can see that the rear mounted spare wheel is gone, being repositioned in the trunk, leaving the rear hatch to open upwards. Inside, the driving position has been improved, while the cheap materials were limited.
