New Tesla Store and Service in Monaco

Tesla Motors is already known throughout the world for producing a successful electric roadster based on the Lotus Elise. The company from San Carlos, California, has opened a regional sales and service center in Monaco on November 24, 2009.

The store is located in the Golden Square of the State, le "Carré d’Or", and is meant to serve all of Southern Europe. This is the third Tesla store in Europe following stores in London and Munich.

If you’re thinking that customers in the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France who already have a Tesla Roadster need to travel a lot, then you’re wrong. Tesla is the only automaker which makes “house calls.” Just like doctors, Tesla technicians travel to the customer’s house in order to perform annual inspections, firmware upgrades and other services.

This is why the Monaco store is really important: it will be a service hub for all clients in Southern Europe. Tesla has delivered nearly 900 cars, making it quite successful, so being able to provide on-time services for their products is very important to the company. Tesla’s different approach of servicing is meant to keep clients happy and peaceful, as no servicing traveling is necessary.

The Roadster requires less routine maintenance than conventional cars. It does not need regular oil changes or exhaust system work. Roadsters have no spark plugs, pistons, hoses, belts or clutches to replace. Zero tailpipe emission means no smog checks. Tesla recommends a standard service and diagnostic inspection once a year or every 12,000 miles – and our mobile service professionals can perform that anywhere,” said Tesla.
