Dubbed Suzuki SX4 X-EC, the new variant builds on the SZ4 grade and is set to go on sale at nationwide dealers later this month, wearing a price tag of £13,430 which includes metallic paint.
The Special Edition SX4 X-EC model gives consumers the chance to choose from three metallic colors (Galactic Grey, Cosmic Black Pearl and Cool White Pearl), while being available in a two wheel drive format with 120PS 1.6-litre petrol engine and manual transmission only.
The new model offers a comprehensive list of standard equipment including colour satellite navigation system with Bluetooth connectivity, USB Port, unique design alloy wheels, electric folding door mirrors with built in turn signal lamps, rear privacy glass and a new design seat fabric.
“SX4 is a distinctive five-door hatchback that blends the characteristics of sporty compacts exemplified by the Swift, with those of lightweight SUVs such as the Grand Vitara, to create an exciting small car alternative,” Suzuki explains in a statement for the press.
The Euro 5 emissions 1.6-litre petrol engine features variable valve timing with variable intake system for enhanced driveability and response. It powers the SX4 2WD with manual transmission from naught to 62 mph in 10.7 seconds. In combined cycle driving, the 2WD manual models return 45.6mpg with emissions of 141g/km.
