New Stratos Dressed in Retro Rally Livery

One of the hottest vehicles that come with the new-born status is the new Stratos. Only thinking about this name gives us chills down our spines, as we can instantly feel the rush of a rally stage, the thrills of winning this kind of competition.

Fortunately, the contemporary incarnation of the vehicle has a strong visual connection with the original racing machine. And the bond between the two recently became stronger, as the New Stratos has been dressed in the livery that was used by its mentor.

The retro Alitalia livery New Stratos has been released at the vehicle’s debut at the Circuit Paul Ricard in the South of France. You can enjoy the unveiling process in the video below. Yes, stunning girls are among the goodies offered by the footage, but please, ask your mind to behave, we have to show a little respect for the Stratos!

Now that we’ve mentioned the vehicle’s retro assets, we have to remind you that this is just one of the assets offered by the car. The vehicle also relies on its tech abilities to impress.

As you know, the New Stratos is based on the Ferrari F430 Scuderia. However, the vehicle doensn’t rest on the Prancing Horse’s laurels: the F430’s chassis has been shortened and wrapped in carbon fiber body. The result weighs 108 kg less than the Scuderia (1,240 kg).

The power comes from the Scuderia’s 4.3 liter V8, which delivers 510 hp and 470 Nm (346.7 lb-ft) of torque. As for the acceleration times, these manage to give us goosebumps: the 0 to 62 mph sprint is covered in 3.3 seconds, while the car gets from nought to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.7 seconds.
