With the world's most famous endurance race just around the corner, SRT has taken the opportunity to reveal their latest customer race car built around the new Viper.
Powered by an updated engine which now produces 680 horsepower and 640 lb-ft (868 Nm) of torque, the Viper GT3-R also features optimized aerodynamics. Other features include Xtrac six-speed sequential transmission with paddle shifters, six-piston front brake calipers with four-piston rears, lightweight wheels and a multi-disc race clutch.
The race car was developed in partnership with Riley Technologies in Mooresville and will be available for order from an estimated $459,000, though deliveries are scheduled for late 2013.
"The SRT Viper GT3-R is the next logical progression of our successful Viper GTS-R, a championship-proven formula that has captured some of the world's most prestigious races," Ralph Gilles said.
