Some say the Skoda Octavia is the car we all want but we don’t know yet. This means we should be all over the RS version, right?
Well, no use pointing a gun at us, we’re just trying to figure out why Skoda would release the huge photo gallery you’re about to see below. You know, drum roll, spotlights... let there be rock! The Octavia RS is here. Can we have a “hatchy” Mazda3 please?
Ok, you can stop scratching your heads now, we’re getting back to the Octavia RS (*boring mode activation sound*). As we already mentioned, the new performance vehicle from Skoda is just a couple of weeks away from going on sale in the UK, with pricing from £22,990. Future customers will be able to order the RS with either a 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine (220 HP) or a 2.0-liter diesel unit (184 HP) and link them to a six-speed manual or a DSG transmission.
The petrol Octavia RS will get you up to 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standing start 6.8 seconds, and you’ll reach the same speed in 8.1 seconds while hammering the diesel-powered version. Top speed is rated at 154 mph (248 km/h) and 145 mph (232 km/h) respectively.
You can find out more about pricing and equipment in the photo gallery section. And 70 photos...
