Why burn fuel when a simple incline can give you all the momentum and propulsion you’ll ever need? Skateboarding, especially the downhill kind, is an extremely exhilarating sport which is, at the same time, thoroughly green.
Apart from its tree hugging ‘greenness’, skateboarding also attracts daredevils who want to push the limits of, well, the aerodynamic properties of their bodies, in this case. Mischo Erban (28) is a very brave man, having attempted what he attempted and completing it successfully - a run down the hill, clocking a maximum speed of 129,94 Km/h (80.74 mph), making him the fastest man on a skateboard, ever!
His record-breaking run was held on a stretch of road called ‘Les Eboulements’, in Quebec, Canada, on an 18% incline. The run was also filmed, using a helmet-mounted camera, and is well worth watching, it's linked below.
