New Sierra Ad: Bring on the Infrastructure

"If we're going to rebuild this country, we're going to need the truck that has been doing the job for the last 100 years," says the latest commercial from GMC, featuring the new Sierra truck.

The guys from jalopnik managed to get their hands on the commercial called "Bring on the infrastructure"  that brings into the limelight the new Sierra truck which is believed to be ready to help America's infrastructure. While the ad is not bad at all (entertaining music, nice pictures, great slogan), the whole story is kind of ironic when you think that the company might not survive the day when this happens. We don't want to be pessimistic, but this ad is way too much for the moment.

The pickup truck has a long history on American roads and  GMC has been there from the first day. Initially used by farmers, construction workers and small-business owners, GMC trucks were best known for their reliability and performance. More recently, the GMC's truck was baptized as Sierra.

Available in a wide variety of body styles, powertrains and trim levels, the Sierra can be both labelled as a family car and as a goods-carrying vehicle. The current Sierra corrects the aspects that have been highly criticized at older models, such as the overly plastic-endowed cabins, resulting in a comfortable vehicle that can assure a pleasant ride for the driver and passengers.

As for the safety features, the Sierra got five stars in frontal and side crash-testing rating.

It's hard to tell whether this ad will increase sales for the Sierra truck and thus, help the American infrastructure, but the idea is worth our praise. So, enjoy the 30-second video here.
