You can't show up at a party wearing the right suit but the wrong shoes, right?
These could very well be the words of wisdom behind Scion's decision to fit the new iA and iM with Toyo tires as standard features.

So, what's in store for those looking to buy a Scion iM four-door hatchback? Well, their car will roll on 17-inch Toyo Proxes 4 Plus B all-season tires, which promise to offer a "combination of excellent wear and swift handling."

Additionally, the Scion iM comes with a 137-horsepower, 4-cylinder engine that uses Valvematic technology for a broad torque curve.

For the iA, Scion chose 16-inch Toyo Proxes A27 tires for a better compromise between "sporty" handling and comfort. The emphasis should be put on focus here because these particular tires were designed to offer low rolling resistance, good handling in both wet and dry conditions, along with a quieter ride.

Other than that, the Scio iA sedan is powered by a 1.5-liter engine with 106 horsepower, hidden under a high-strength body structure.

If memory is not helping you with pricing for the new Scion iM and iA, here's a refresher. The Scion iM hatchback is available with an MSRP of $18,460 for the manual transmission and $19,200 for the CVTi-S model. Its peer, the Scion iA, has a price tag set at $15,700 for the 6-speed manual transmission and $16,800 for the 6-speed automatic.

Other features include push-button start, low-speed pre-collision system, rear-view backup camera and 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system with voice recognition.
