New Retro Style Motorcycle from S&S Cycle

A vintage reproduction motorcycle, based on the classic 1946 FLH Bobber, was recently released by S&S Cycle, under the name of K-Bobb. The new custom made motorcycle was produced under the Flathead Power brand, and features modern day technologies.

Though it is fully functional, the K-Bobb was classified as a display motorcycle, and it is only legal to ride to and from shows and events. Daily driving is prohibited, as the bike does not comply with current emissions standard.

Unfortunately, the interdiction of riding the K-Bobb on a daily bases will not be lifted very soon. Worse, considering that display motorcycles can only be produced in 24 units a year, there can't be too many on the streets.

As for the technical details of the retro, yet modern bike, S&S Cycle delivered all the specs needed in order for potential customers to get an idea regarding its performances. The K-Bobb is powered by a Flathead Power KN93 engine. The 1523cc power plant delivers more power than a stock Harley-Davidson Twin Cam 96.

A special “kick-start compatible” S&S Super Stock ignition and an S&S Super E carburetor make this engine easy to start, but as we said, the owner will enjoy all these features in just few occasions.

Other features of the K-Bobb are:
  • Transmission – 4 speed / foot shift
  • Finish – Black powder coat
  • Gas Tank – 1941-‘46 style
  • Oil Tank – Knuckle vintage
  • Electrical system – 12 volt, generator
  • Wheels – 16” spoke / optional 18”
  • Handlebars – Buckhorns
  • Gauges – 120 mph speedo

The bike is available in blue, black, red or teal paint and can be purchased at a MSRP of $24,750. Other retail elements can be purchased separately, such as chromed foot controls, wheels, brakes. oil tank and chain guard.
