It appears that the brand new Subaru BRZ sports coupe will arrive on the US market carrying a base price that’s about $1,000 lower than what we originally expected. According to Motor Trend Chief Editor Ed Loh, who’s testing the car in Japan right now, company officials have revealed to him that the base price will be somewhere around $24,000.
The BRZ will be sold in two trim levels, the base version being called the BRZ Premium. The more expensive $27,000 Limited version will come with Subaru’s typical leather an alcantara seats, that boot spoiler that was missing in Tokyo and foglights in the bumper.

As for the base model, that will still cary aluminum pedals, a steering wheel wrapped in leather, plus a standard 8-speaker system and Navigation.

Both versions will come with the same 2.0-liter boxer engine delivering 200 horsepower and a 6-speed manual standard box.
