2012 was the year of the supermini for most European carmakers. Peugeot has a new one, Ford has a significantly refresh Fiesta, Dacia launched the affordable alternative and their parents at Renault, well they have the new Clio.
The fourth-generation Renault Clio made its official debut at the Paris Motor Show in September last year and met with almost universal approval. They have simplified the way that an engine range is presented: just four engines with two power outputs, either 75 PS or 90 PS.
However, there are places where the Clio shines. Both the inside and outside of the car can be customized to high degree. For example, you can have the chrome pack for €250, but you can also have those same shiny elements in blue, ivory or black. It's much the same story inside, where you can color-coordinate the dash and the seats, while also adding themes to the lower part of the steering wheel and gearshift lever surround.
