All those Australian folks that have a soft spot for Renault cars ought to know that the brand new city-sized hot-hatch Clio RS 200 EDC has just been launched. They now have the chance to purchase the vehicle as it has made its way onto the market a few months earlier than it was initially announced.
This RS200 is a forth generation Clio and it differentiates itself from its predecessor as it incorporates a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine instead of the naturally aspirated 2.0-liter of the old RS, exclusively available with a manual transmission. Besides this, the new Clio comes with a larger five-door body and a six-speed dual clutch automatic instead of a manual.

Of course the car has numerous other nifty gadgets, plus an engine that is the returned version of the one found in the Nissan Pulsar SSS as well as a stylish interior. And, let’s not forget that people can choose between the Cup and Sport versions of the car, the RS200 Sport being AUD28,790 while the Cup model is around AUD30,000.

All in all, the guys from Renault Australia have high hopes when it comes to this Clio RS 200. Their goal is to sell 500 models in 2014, a big step from the 69 Clio RS that were sold back in 2012.
