Talk to Clio RS owners and they will tell it to you straight: the first year's production of every model is somewhat flawed. Renaultsport always leaves a little bit of performance out in the beginning to make the updated one that much better. They did it with the 172-182 transition, the 197-200 and now they're going to do it again.

When the MkIV model came out this year, it did so being powered by a new 1.6-liter turbo engine producing exactly the same 200 PS as the older 2-liter. We suspected they left out a little bit of performance for the revamped Gordini range, and this appears to be the case.

A French forum specializing in the Clio model says the RS Gordini is on its way, coming next year with an amazing 230 PS and 285 Nm. The car will be 10mm lower than the Cup chassis, 25 kilograms lighter and much, much faster. 0 to 100 km/h is claimed to be dealt with in 6 seconds and the top speed is 250 km/h. Changes will also be made to the exhaust system, the EDC gearbox and the Recaro seats.

The Clio RS Gordini will be available in four color combinations: the usual Gordini blue with white stripes, Glacier White with blue stripes, Flame Red with white stripes and Platinum Gray with blue stripes.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
