New Porsche 911 Carrera Aerokit Looks Like a Baby GT3, Can't Have It Yet

If you're staring and these images and wondering when Porsche will finally let us have the 992 Carrera Aerokit, there's nothing that could be held against you. After all, the fixed rear wing we're talking about was first showcased some eight months ago, but while demo cars that use the aero element keep pleasing crowds at various events, the thing still hasn't show up on the street.
The wing we're talking about comes to complete the Sport Design Package, which includes the front apron, rear apron and side skirts (the latter can be ordered independently).

For instance, the demo vehicle we can notice in the first Instagram post below was recently spotted at the Porsche Festival, an event held on the Misano Circuit in Italy.

Of course, the "tail" splits opinions, since its dimensions allow it to rival the wings of past GT3s, with certain aficioandos believing such aero bits should remain reserved to GT cars.

Then again, the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 prototypes sport the kind of wing that clearly differentiate them from such Carreras - the new GT3 isn't expected to land until next year, though.

Much to nobody's surprise, the wait mentioned above has given aftermarket developers time to think about such a piece.

For instance, if you head over to the second Instagram post below, you'll notice Afzal Kahn, the man who founded the namesake company in the UK, asking the audience for opinions on this matter.

And we all know such questions are rarely born out of boredom. For one thing, Kahn Design builds body kits for all sorts of machines these days, while even coming up with Long Nose conversions for Land Rover Defenders.

Sure, tuners pulling a Red Bull on the 911 are nothing new, but here's to hoping that, if such custom wings do show up, at least some of them maintain the somewhat restrained look of the factory item shown here.
