A stolen motorcycle is a major loss, especially as there are solid chances you might never see it again. And if you’re not fully-insured, then the loss is even bigger. However, thanks to the all-new GPS Tracker device from UK specialist Oxford, the chances to get your bike back as soon as it leaves its designated place without your consent are now rocketing. Welcome the new-gen GPS Tracker, a solution which is vehicle-independent and whose features are available right form your smartphone, home or work computer.
The new Oxford GPS Tracker does not require that any wiring be connected to your motorcycle, as it is completely autonomous. It doesn’t need charging because it already contains a battery which should provide up to 10 years of service, or 14,000 location requests. This tracker can be removed from one bike and concealed in other vehicles, including cars, ATVs and all.

“Anywhere in the world with a mobile network”

The GPS Tracker will provide the location of a vehicle anywhere in the world where there is access to mobile networks. This can be done on request, using the Tracker App, or even automatically, depending on what protection mode you have set for the device.

That is, the Oxford GPS Tracker can operate in 4 modes, with each providing the optimal type of security, according to real-life scenarios. The Sleep mode is the default mode, and it send the vehicle position after remaining still for more than 5 minutes. If the bike is moved, new locations are transmitted. The Live mode sends out the vehicle location every 5 minutes while on the move.

You can set the GPS Tracker in the Geofence mode, and it will send out an alert (and locatios) when the vehicle gets past the limits of the preset area. If the bike goes missing, you can activate the Alarm mode, which lists your vehicle and its secure mark as stolen in the system, and you can use the data to file a complaint with the police.

Tough and waterproof, with a decent yearly subscription fee

The GPS Tracker is waterproof and really tough, so installing it in the weirdest places should not be a problem. The system needs a yearly subscription which so far is set at 60 pounds ($91/€80), but if you opt in for longer periods, it can go as low as 180 pounds ($274/€241) for 5 years. The device itself is 100 GBP ($152/€134) and can be of course used even with other valuable assets.

We already mentally see it installed inside a fake frame element… and the surprise of the thief/thieves when the cops raid the place. Definitely a cool gadget, working wonders if combined with the Datatag Smart system
