New Off-Road Range from Kawasaki

Kawasaki has recently revealed details and photos of its 2010 range of motocross bikes, offering a preview of the updates and model line for the KX and KLX series. The new KX450F, KX250F, KX65, KX85 and KLX450R received changes not only in the technical area, but also in the design style, while maintaining the rider friendly maintenance features and durability.

The KX450F received a number of performance-enhancing updates to both engine and chassis, which brought highly-positive feedbacks from the factory riders.

For the first time in a mass-production machine, a piston with bridged-box bottom, inherited from the racing world. As for the chassis updates, the revisions brought to the frame and to the suspension components resulted in a lighter handling and improved suspension action.

Kawasaki KX450F brief highlights:

  • Factory-inspired engine tuning
  • Adjustable competition ECU
  • Lighter-handling chassis
  • Revised front/rear suspension spring rates and damping settings
  • Improved clutch feeling

The KX250F model also received a new piston with bridged-box bottom, as well as chassis updates and revisions to the swinging arm and suspension for increased cornering performance and an optimized front-rear balance.

Kawasaki K250F brief highlights:

  • Factory-inspired engine tuning
  • Lighter-handling chassis
  • Showa twin-chamber fork with titanium coating
  • Rear shock absorber
  • Updated Uni-Trak rear suspension

These two bikes, together with the smaller KX series (KX65, KX85 and KLX450R), keep the Kawasaki well-known lime green color. Though other features and specifications will be released soon by the Japanese manufacturer, we will have to wait a bit longer for the pricing.
