New Nissan Pathfinder Not Coming to Europe and the UK

Nissan have just revealed the all-new Pathfinder, a car which is far more advanced (and bigger) than the old version, which is still on sale, throughout the world. This larger yet lighter Pathfinder (which also looks much better than the current model) will not make it to Europe, or the UK.

Nissan is arguing that since it is even bigger than its predecessor (a massive vehicle in its own right), it would be too big and cumbersome for European roads. While that may be true, it hasn’t stopped other manufacturers from selling even bigger SUVs, on the Old Continent, according to autocar.co.uk.

However, since it shares a platform with the Infiniti JX (which makes it 25% more efficient than before), a soft roader we’re already getting in Europe, maybe we don’t really need it, after all! Also, the lack of a diesel in the range would have made it irrelevant in Europe, as it will most likely be sold with Nissan’s familiar 3.5-liter V6 which will send its power to all four wheels via a CVT gearbox.
