New MV Agusta F3 First Photos Released

The moment that many motorcycle aficionados have been waiting for is here, as Italian manufacturer MV Agusta has finally issued the first photos of a project they have been working on for years: the new F3 middleweight sportsbike.

All that work in design and development seem to point to the fact that MV Agusta is staying true to its reputation as the builder of the most beautiful and coveted motorcycles in the world. We must confess that we might also like to have one in our garages as well, regardless of the model.

But getting back to the new MV Agusta F3, the recently released photos hint to a very technologically advanced 600cc bike, rather than the 675cc rumored capacity. The taillights, the wheels and the front of the bike are striking similar to those of the 2010 MV Agusta F4.

Furthermore, the front brake calipers are radial and the forks are upside down. The GP-style exhaust is hidden by the single-sided swingarm and rear wheel, so we can’t tell too much about it for the moment.

The work on the new F3 has been completed while the Italian brad was still under the ownership of Harley-Davidson. However, its release has been delayed once the American manufacturer decided to sell MV Agusta a year after it bought it. The company is now back into the hands of Claudio Castiglioni, its initial owner, so it is now time for the F3 to reach the surface.

Unfortunately, no matter how excited we are about the smaller sibling of the F4, we’ll just have to wait for the 2010 EICMA show to reveal it to us. The event is scheduled to take place in Milan this November, and it’s the perfect venue for MV Agusta to bring the new F3 into the spotlights.
