New MINI Cooper SD UK Pricing Announced

Yesterday we brought to you the news that the very much anticipated SD model has just been added to the 2011 MINI line-up, while highlighting the fact that pricing details will likely be offered at the forthcoming Geneva Auto Show, where MINI is expected to bring an impressive host of vehicles to the stand.

However, it looks like the British division of MINI has already managed to put a price tag on the newly released, most powerful diesel variant in the MINI line-up.

Specifically, we are talking about a 2.0-litre unit developing 143 hp and 305 Nm (225 lb.ft.) of torque (available between 1,750 and 2,700 rpm), and coupled with a six speed manual gearbox. “The new diesel engine features the same torque steer management software which was added to the petrol portfolio in September last year,” MINI says.

The automaker also mentioned that the SD Hatch secures a zero VED rate and a company car benefit tax rate of 13% including the 3% diesel surcharge.

Available for the MINI, MINI Clubman, MINI Convertible and MINI Countryman, pricing and performance details for the new MINI SD variants are listed below:

SD model
Top Speed (mph) 0-62 mph Consumption (mpg combined) Emissions (g/km) OTR Price
