Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Mercedes-Benz SLK - the Third. The vehicle brings the already-famous-before-its-launch vario-roof with Magic Sky Control, promising to offer a perfectly balanced mix between performance and comfort. The first thing that meets the eye is the upright radiator grille. The vehicle’s design has strong connections with those of the SLS AMG and the new CLS, with the car having a drag coefficient of 0.30.

The interior brings brushed aluminum trimming (wood is optional), a set of round dials accompanied by the information display for the online computer. The color display for the communications and the entertainment sits at the center of the dash and makes a perfect coupe with an analogue clock.

The German automaker is launching the car with three powerplants, all of them using direct injection. The entry-level is the SLK 200 Blue EFFICIENCY, which is powered by a four-cylinder 1.8l unit that develops 184 hp. All the models come with a standard ECO start/stop function.
