If you want a fast German car with a big boot that doesn’t compromise on speed either, you don’t need to buy an SUV any more. Mercedes has a new product, and it’s called the CLS Shooting Brake.
Described as a CLS Shooting Brake, and Merceds says it’s "quite clearly a coupé, but with five doors and a roof which continues through to the rear.
There’s even a hardcore version called the CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake. It features the same 5.5-liter biturbo V8 as the regular CLS 63 AMG, of course, producing up to 557 PS and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque if you specify the AMG performance package.
That’s enough for a 0-100 km/h time of 4.4 seconds, which is not bad for a car with up to 1550 litres of cargo room and that does luxury very well.
The latest TV commercial is filled with American spirit. The CLS took on the critics and competition, and now the legacy is taken forward to the sound of Phillÿ Collins - In the Air Tonight.
