Having its origins in Japan, it was logic that the local media will review the 2014 Lexus IS model, and here is one of the first tests.
Motor journalist Kumakura Shigeharu recently gave the new IS a review. Of course, here are 98 percent chances that you won’t understand what he says, so we will present you the main features he talks about.

First thing first, there is the new spindle design that makes the new sedan bolder and sharper. Then, you’ll see a picture of the Toyota Altezza for about a second to visualize the grandfather of the IS and the design that started it all.

Next, Mr. Kumakura will tell you about the IS 250’s engine, which is a 2.5-liter V6 that develops 215 PS and 260 Nm of torque. Other than that, you will see the nice plastic cover with the L badge over the engine and the guy will tell you that it delivers the power smoothly, due to the its six-speed automatic transmission.

Inside, the main features that you need to know are the redesigned dashboard, the driver’s comfortable position, quality of the materials used like the fine perforated leather and wood inserts as well as the rear legroom which has increased due to the new model’s longer wheelbase and the redesigned front seats.
