With the introduction of the new GS 300h at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, Lexus now offers two different hybrid powertrains for one model.
Lexus has strengthened its GS model appeal by adding the 300h powertrain next to the actual Lexus GS 450h, promising class-leading benefit-in-kind tax rates of 13% thanks to its 109 g/km CO2 emissions.

The new GS 300h will house the same 178 bhp 2.5-liter Hybrid Drive powertrain found on the 2014 Lexus IS 300h which is said to offer a combined fuel consumption of 60.1 mpg.

The Lexus GS 300h will mirror the same styling cues of its more powerful 450h bother and it will ad a new entry level SE trim to the Luxury, F Sport and Premier ones.

Starting at £31,495, the GS 300h SE will come with key features like 17-inch alloy wheels, 10 airbags, electric steering wheel adjustment, 12-speaker sound system, cruise control, parking sensors, HID headlamps and electric heated front seats.

The £37,495 Luxury trim adds leather upholstery, navigation, 18-inch alloys and Blind Spot Monitor system with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

For £41,745 you can have the F Sport model, which adds a more aggressive front bumper, exquisite five double-spoked 19-inch alloy wheels, perforated leather seats and Adaptive Variable Sports Suspension.

The top-notch Premier trim costs £43,745 and comes with more cool features, like the 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, LED fog lamps, new color head-up display and 18-way electric driver’s seat.

Lexus UK is currently taking orders for the new GS 300h, with first deliveries starting from January 2014.
