We can’t say that the old pro_cee’d was a pig of a car, but it can’t hold a candle to this new one in terms of looks. Unveiled only recently, the three-door hatchback shares some of its language with the old one, but has all the right moves to take on the new Astra GTC or the aging Scirocco.
It’s not just us who like the Kia 3-door, since the pro_cee’d has just won the prestigious iF product design award. The car will be launched next year and will be available with the same engines as the sedan, including a new 1.6 T-GDi unit with 204 PS.

The Korean automaker also received the highly sought-after ‘iF Communication Design’ award in the ‘Digital Media – Mobile Applications’ category.

"The first pro_cee'd surprised a lot of people," adds Gregory Guillaume, Kia's Chief Designer Europe, back in September. "We wanted to build on that elevated expectation with this new model and continue to surprise and delight Kia drivers. The new five-door cee'd takes on the emotional level of the outgoing pro_cee'd, so the role of the new pro_cee'd is to push forward, forge ahead."

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
