Call it the K900 or whatever you want, the new Kia flagship sedan is simply 120 inches of impeccable design combined with the latest technology you though a Korean automaker would never have.
Aimed unashamedly at the full-size luxury market, the K900 made its debut at the full-size luxury market. Of course, Kia already claimed a full-size luxury car when it launched the Cadenza earlier this year. This is the same sort of story we saw at sister company Hyundai, who followed by Genesis with the Equus.
Kia's version of the Equus has more, or should we say less, under the bonnet. Instead of just being offered with a large V8, the K900 also packs a 3.8-liter V6 producing 311 horsepower, same as a Genesis. For more power, the Korean company also offers the K900 with its 5.0-liter Tau V8 producing 420 horsepower.
Just like any other Kia, the K900 really shines in the tech and trim. High-spec models get these awesome 19-inch chrome wheels, LED headlights, fog lights, turn signal indicators and taillights, 17 speakers and 16-way adjustable seats.
We think the interior looks a lot less like a Lexus, featuring white Shimamoku-style wood and black+white leather thought. No pricing yet, but this is a 2015 model so it will go on sale next summer or fall. Our best guess is about $43,000 for the V6 and $4000 more for the V8.
