New Info on BMW GT6, Z2 and 3 Series Supersports

The BMW post-Bangle era has begun. Although Bangle's critics should not get their hopes up that the company will drastically change its design code because of his departure, the event itself is yet another reason for BMW fans to keep on the lookout for any new products of the German manufacturer.

BMW's future product, the GT6, the Z2 and the 3 Series supersports, are already on the way. Progress made by the builder into the three new Bimmers became available yesterday thanks to bmwblog.com.

The BMW GT6, code named by the company the F14, is based on the 2010 BMW 6 Series' platform, the F10. The model will be smaller than the CS concept, but a bit longer than today's model. The new 6er will have a Mazda RX-8 like rear door and no B-pillar.

Rumor is that BMW is considering a follow up to the confirmed BMW 1 Series Supersports, set to launch sometimes in 2010 and plans on placing the same Supersports badge on a 3 Series based car.

The yet unconfirmed BMW Z2 is said to be in the final stages of its development. Most likely, the car will make its first public appearance in September, at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The Z2 is planned as the smaller version of the Z4 and probably will use the same platform as the 1 Series.

Being smaller and by using technology already available to the German manufacturer, the Z2 will most likely have a price tag of under 30,000 euros.

But, until further info is available for these new additions to the BMW range, fans worldwide have something real to look forward to. In less than a month, BMW will officially unveil the X5 M and X6 M models.
