New Indianapolis MotoGP Track Layout
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) showed the new layout they will prepare for the 2014 MotoGP round.
According to IMS sources, the new layout was improve din three areas, in order to increase rider safety and offer better passing opportunities. Asphalt&Rubber also stresses that these three zones were also the ones which saw the most crashes during this year's Brickyard round, so the enhanced safety through these turns is a most welcome change.

The infield track areas which will be updated are T2 through T4, T7-T8 and T15-T16. The counterclockwise racing direction will remain unchanged, but for 2014 the new track will also receive a new, consistent asphalt layer for a more coherent tire behavior along the whole distance of the circuit.

From the same source we find out that the IMS officials are still open to suggestions and they're waiting for pertinent proposals to consider. So if you believe you've got some Hermann Tilke in you, you'd better speak up!
