Over in Europe, the new Hyundai i10 might be an improvement on the old model in therms of space of quality, but it's also the smallest and cheapest car you can buy from the Korean automaker.
But in India, the latest generation city car is dulled the "Grand i10" and is classed a B+ segment hatchback. Adding an expensive diesel engine to the mix mean this is actually a premium car there.
A report from India's Team BHP states this car could get a diesel automatic version. This is likely to have a 4-speed auto like the one the Koreans offer in most of their cars and the 1.1-liter turbodisel rated at 69 bhp (70 PS) and 160 Nm of torque.
The new i10 was developed and tested in Germany, but was also put through its paces in India and thus is ideally suited for this market.
