While the Toyota Yaris only received a facelift, its direct competitor, the Honda Jazz received an entire overhaul. It’s here, it’s live and it’s at the Paris Motor Show 2014.
As you can see from the pictures here, the new Jazz pumps more style to the classic boxy design. “Sharper” and “bolder” are the words here and you can see them materialized through some deep side creases, bigger front vents, slimmer headlamps, bigger roof wing, shark-fin antenna and split rear taillamps.

Our photographers haven’t had access to the interior of the new Honda Jazz so you’ll have to take another look at the Japanese/US Fit model to make an idea of how it will look for the European market.

Engine choices are still to be announced, but we can tell you the Fit has been engineered to work with a new 1.3-liter 100 PS Atkinson-cycle gasoline engine, the 1.5-liter carryover, and a hybrid system combining a 1.5-liter with a dual-clutch gearbox and an electric motor.

Yep, you guessed it right, the latter setup is aimed directly at the Toyota Yaris Hybrid. Diesel units haven’t been on the list so far, but rumors go that Honda is working on a new 1.2-liter i-DTEC 3-cylinder unit making some 80-90 PS.
