You know how they say - solo riding is pure therapy, but do so with people sharing the same passion and you get the best ’group therapy’ available. With that in mind, there’s a new event on the 2017 riding calendar, called ‘the Highpipe Festival’.
As the name hints, the Highpipe Festival is aiming scrambler motorcycle fans and will take them for a three-day adventure at China Peak Ski Resort in the Sierra Nevada mountains, California.
“There’s a huge resurgence in the universal motorcycle segment,” said Corey Eastman, Consumer Engagement Director, Bonnier Motorcycle Group. “Their style and versatile design speak to the newest generation of riders and help recall fond memories for more seasoned enthusiasts. From Cafe to Scramblers, manufacturers and the aftermarket are helping make this one of the fastest-growing market segments in motorcycling today. Supporting these efforts with an event that lets consumers ride, enjoy, learn and admire is the next step.”
The China Peak Ski Resort sits near the edge of Huntington lake and guests will have the option to either camp on site or check in at the local hotel there during their stay in the area. Other facilities include food trucks, local-brew beer and even outside movie screenings at night at the base of the ski slopes.
"China Peak is tremendously excited to be hosting HighPipe, as attendees will enjoy this new format of a motorcycle lifestyle event in one of the top on- and off-road venues in the nation,” said Tim Cohee, Managing Partner, China Peak, who is enjoying his 54th year of motorcycling.
The event is scheduled to start on June 9, 2017 and will end on 11. Helping with the organization is the Bonnier Motorcycle Group, whom is partnering with most motorcycle manufacturers and aftermarket products companies to offer consumers new experiences, including the chance to demo products and share experiences.
