New High End Vehicles Warranty Program Offered in the UK

Performance and luxury cars offer some sort of a bittersweet experience, as these machines are always a joy to drive (or be chauffeured around in) but come with monstrous financial drawbacks.

One of the issues that surrounds these vehicles is linked to their warranty. In other worlds, once the initial manufacturer warranty reaches the final point, it can be difficult to expand this by signing a contract with a third party company.

Now, the automotive warranty market is a little bit richer, as the British Warranty Direct company announced that it has extended its mechanical failure insurance to cover high-spec premium and performance vehicles.

The new product is part of a transformation of the company’s range of cover services, which is now offered on four levels: MajorCare, SecureCare, ExtraCare and LuxuryCare.

The new services target multiple categories of top vehicles, ranging from high-end cars with large capacity powerplants, such as the Rolls Royce Phantom or the Bentley Continental GT to more mainstream performance vehicles, like those included in the hot hatch segment.

“Until now, drivers of models such as Porsche 911 Turbos and Ferrari 430s have had limited options for extended warranty cover after the initial manufacturer protection has expired. As a pioneer in the provision of extended warranties, Warranty Direct offers owners protection against faults discovered during routine MOT tests and servicing, while its cover includes wear and tear damage to an insured part caused by the failure of an uninsured part. These remain key differentiators in the marketplace,” stated the press release.
