New Ford F-150 Limited Hailed as the Most Luxurious F-150 Ever

For the 2016 model year, the light-duty F-Series receives a trim level known as Limited. Though the name doesn’t tell much, the Blue Oval hails the 2016 Ford F-150 Limited as the most luxurious F-150 light-duty pickup truck ever made.

Slated to go on sale in the fourth quarter, pricing is unknown at the present moment. Still, we have this gut feeling that we are looking at over $50k. In comparison to the Ram 1500 Limited and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country, the all-new-for-2016 Ford F-150 Limited boasts more standard kit.

The highlights are represented by adaptive cruise control, quad-beam LED headlamps, multicontour massaging seats, 360-degree camera system, and a remote tailgate release. Surpassing the already posh F-150 Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum, the Limited comes as standard with 22-inch shiny aluminum wheels, Limited hood lettering in a Range Rover kind of way, unique front grille, and satin-chrome detailing.

As far as exterior finishes are concerned, four colors will be made available: White Platinum Metallic tri-coat, Blue Jeans, Magnetic, and Shadow Black. But the real luxury is found in the cabin, where customers get power-deployable running boards, panoramic vista roof, heated and cooled front seats wrapped in Mojave leather, 10-way power adjustment and multicontour massaging, and heated rear seats.

Pretty good, but the F-150 Limited is more than that. Nevermind the SYNC 3 infotainment system, 10 speakers, the available Pro Trailer Backup Assist, and 3.5-liter turbo V6 with 365 HP and 420 lb-ft.

What differentiates the cabin of the F-150 Limited from other trucks through a laser-engraved VIN plate on the center console lid, fiddleback eucalyptus, unique instrument cluster face, and similarly unique scuff plates with ice blue backlighting. We’re still afraid that the sticker price will be too high for comfort...
