It’s hard to fill the shoes of the masterful S65 V8 engine fitted on the old E92 M3 but if there’s a company that can do that, it’s BMW and the M division.
Those people that are expecting the new sound to be close to the V8 should get a reality check. That’s impossible for more than obvious reasons. However, that doesn’t mean that the new cars can’t sound good.
We heard the M3 roaring a while back, thanks to an XCAR video and today we get to listen to the M4. Despite having a terrible echo in the background, the clips posted below are still relevant, allowing you to imagine how the two will sound like in real life, not in a closed garage as they are filmed here.
