New Dainese D-Air Racing Airbag Suit Gets You a VIP Weekend

The long-awaited D-Air Racing suit is now available for purchase, and iconic safety gear manufacturer Dainese decided to make it even more attractive for interested British consumers. The company has teamed up with Silverstone and the Aprilia, BMW and Kawasaki World Superbike teams to offer a special reward to the first 20 customers ordering the new suit.

This consists of a VIP weekend pass to the British round of the World Superbike Championship at Silverstone from July 29-31, 2011. The VIP day will take place on Friday 29 July where customers will be fitted with their own D-Air Racing suit by a Dainese D-Air Engineer. They will also receive hospitality lunch, garage tours with Aprilia, BMW or Kawasaki, a chance to meet Dainese stars and rub shoulders with other race stars in the SBK paddock.

Measurements taken on the Friday will be supplied to Dainese headquarters in Italy where the suits will be made and dispatched to local dealers in the UK.

D-Air Racing is designed to offer protection to the areas of the riders body that require further protection, such as shoulders, collar bones etc. Once triggered, the system is deployed within 45 milliseconds.

The system is fitted with a GPS tracker, data analysis, lap checker and a trajectory display. Using Google Earth the system tracks and follows your movements while on-track.

D-Air Racing will retail from £2,409, which includes the suit and all of the internal technical workings. A deposit of £900 is required to secure the order and will be taken by the local dealer who the sale will be processed through. Deposits are to be paid by July 22nd, with the rest to be paid upon collecting the suit.
