Romanian car brand Dacia is currently seeing the biggest new model offensive in its history. Earlier this year, we saw the Lodgy MPV, which can comfortable seat seven people, and it was followed by a van called the Dokker, which has sliding rear doors.
The Duster SUV will arrive in Britain with right-hand drive toward the end of the year, and this will likely also mean a slight facelift is coming. Dacia UK has stated that the 4x4 is going to be followed up by a “new Sandero”, likely meaning a revision for the car that was launched about four years ago.

But by far the most important car for Dacia is the one that started it all, the Logan. While speaking to Mediafax, Constantin Stroe, the VP of Automobile Dacia said the company is on course to launch a new product this year.

When asked how similar the “Logan 2” will be to the current sedan, the Dacia VP said he does not like the term “Logan 2”, adding that there will be similarities, most of them mechanical, but it will be a new car. This is comforting considering it’s an 8-year old model he was talking about.

Renault plans to invest €250 million in Romania this year. This will result in a 30 percent increase in production, new stamping lines and the doubling of the aluminum smelting capacity. Dacia will also start producing the new turbo H4 engine that will replace the 1.6 MPI 85 and 1.6 105. We are talking about a 0.9-liter three-cylinder with 90 PS and a 1.2-liter with 115 PS (TCe 90 and TCe 115).

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
