Over the new year’s holiday, Bentley presented its brand new sports convertible, the GTC Speed, which will bow at the upcoming 2013 NAIAS in Detroit.
Just like the GT Speed coupe that was shown at Goodwood this year, the convertible is powered by a 625 PS (616 hp) version of the 6-liter W12 engine, which also makes 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque.

Thanks to this, the GTC Speed will go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds and will top out at a very impressive 325 km/h (202 mph). This makes this the fastest convertible with four seats in the world, not that there are many cars that would challenge it.

The “Speed” in the name of the car also means that, compared to a regular GTC, this has stiffer anti-roll bars, a 10mm lower ride height and tweaked sports suspension.

Design details include dark chrome finish for the grille and 21-inch Speed wheels, plus a cool ‘riffled’ look for the inside of the oval exhausts.

autoevolution will be attending the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
