After the car was revealed in the US this March, Shanghai GM also got to show off the new Buick LaCrosse flagship sedan to Chinese consumers and journalists gathered at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show.
The car is actually a significant refresh of the old model and features Buick's latest design language. The LaCrosse adopts a larger and more angular grille with points that have been worked into the bonnet line and a beautiful new midline.
“The new LaCrosse embodies Buick’s global design cues and technological advances. With its advantages in power, handling, functions and comfort, as well as its refined, dramatic styling, the new LaCrosse addresses the needs and values of premium car buyers,” said Ye Yongming, President of Shanghai GM.
The interior is also new, a bit more spacious than the old LaCrosse and highlighting a "more contemporary ambience with new seats, enhanced materials and a redesigned central instrument panel and console."
The new Lacrosse will be available with a choice of four engines a 3.0L SIDI V-6, 2.0T SIDI, 2.4L SIDI and 2.4L eAssist. Vehicles with the 3.0L engine will reach the market in late April, with the other engines available in late June.
